I’m Baacck! And Christmas Day Festivities!

I’m baaacckkkk!!!  Did you miss me??  I missed each and every one of you!  I have to confess that by the middle of December I was in over my head with Christmas orders and found myself needing to concentrate on finishing them up and trying to spend what extra time I had with my family.  I know it’s been awhile since I last checked in but I’m so thankful that you are all still here and I promise I have tons of fun tutorials coming up so you better stick around!  We had family in town until yesterday so I do believe that it is time to get back to normal posting again.  Christmas is always such a fun time in our house and I thought I would share a few photos from this year’s craziness with you today!

After telling her “No! Put that back!” for almost a month, Emma Grace was so excited to finally be able to rip open those presents!

Mommy did help a little bit!

You see there was the four of us, my Mom and Dad, my sister, brother-in-law, nephew, Grandpa and this year my cousin came to join us!  With all eleven of us the gift giving festivities went on for ever!  Did I mention this pile was just my brother-in-law’s and a small portion of Emma Grace’s pile?

This little guy was so excited!  He had been counting down for weeks!

The best part of Christmas day is just being able to spend time with the family and not having to worry about anything.

Having four generations under one roof is a pretty amazing thing!

As parents some of the best gifts we can get is something handmade from our babies!

We all got plenty of new fashionable clothes.

Emma Grace even got some new hot shoes to go with her furry vest!

And every little girl needs a pair of pink boots too!

Jake got one heck of a cool new bike!

Thank goodness I still have some time before I have to add a certain someone to my phone plan.

There were so many reasons to smile! Sometimes it was a new doll..

…or tickets to a game

…or maybe that oscillating edge belt/spindle sander you have been asking for for the last three years.

I am so thankful that I have been blessed with the most amazing family.

Gearing Up For The Holidays!

Have you missed us this week?  We have missed you guys!  We are taking a bit of time over here to catch up lots of things.  We have been working on some important paperwork.

We have also been busy editing photos and getting ready for holiday photo sessions!  If you are local and interested in booking a session email me at amber@jroxdesigns.com for availability!

Not to mention we have been doing some late night sewing getting ready to add some new goodies in our shop.  We are working on getting all sorts of great holiday gifts for new Moms, babies and toddlers ready for you guys to enjoy.

Although Thanksgiving is just a week away I know a lot of you are already getting ready for Christmas and the blog world is overflowing with lots of great ideas for the holiday season.  We too will be starting to share our holiday inspiration right after Thanksgiving.  In the mean time we are going to be focusing on spending time with our family and remembering of all the things we are thankful for and we hope you will too!

Today we must remember that the reason we are who we are today as a country is because of the brave men and women who have given their lives to make this country great!  Thank you to all of our veterans and those serving in our armed forces!

We are off to celebrate with friends and family at a cookout!  I’m thinking maybe next year of bringing one of these along to celebrate!

Hunting Eggs and Enjoying Easter

Happy Easter!  Did you all have a great Easter?!  It was the most beautiful day here.  It was warm but not too warm with a little bit of a breeze and a LOT of sunshine. Not to mention most of the Pine pollen is finally gone!!!  We all went to church in the morning and then came home for a little Easter egg hunt followed by an amazing meal that left us all overstuffed!  How did you all celebrate?  Do you have any special traditions?  There is something very special about watching my kids run around the yard where I used play.  I remember being a kid racing my big sister to find those hidden eggs.  Then there were many years of watching the joy in Jake’s face as he tossed another egg in his bucket.  I didn’t think it could get any better than that.  Then a couple years later the addition of my nephew to the family brought us even more entertainment.  Now with Emma Grace we have someone fun to dress for Easter Sunday service.    I can’t wait for next year to see who she body checks to get her jelly beans because there is never a dull moment when our kids are together!

The Easter Bunny hid quite a few eggs for Jake a in sneaky places but he was too excited and ran by them all.  No need to worry because Kyson found them all instead!

Having a little girl to dress this year was definitely fun!  After six years of kakis and and polo shirts it was fun to be able to find some big poofy dresses and make a new headband.  Take a quick peak because I’m going to start offering hair bows and flowers in the jRoxDesigns Etsy shop.

After the all of the eggs had been found we also took a ton of family pictures with everyone.  I will be sure to share as soon as I am done editing them.  I’m just so happy I will finally have a picture of the FOUR of us!!
