Emma Grace’s Nursery Reveal :: Nursery Tuesday

Emma Grace’s Modern DIY Nursery

I know you have all waited long enough and today is the day…Emma Grace’s BIG nursery reveal!  I’ve included links back to the original posts with the details of each DIY project .  I’ve also created a page under the DIY Home Projects tab so that you can easily access all of the original nursery posts as well.

Emma Grace’s nursery has been so much fun and I’m really happy with how it has turned out so far.  It was really important to me that while designing her room I take into consideration being able to have the room grow with her.  There were very few things that we actually bought that I didn’t change in some way or another either with fabric or paint.  The entire nursery was done on a very tight budget.  We didn’t mind spending money on things that were going to be key permanent fixtures in the room like her closet organizing system, new closet doors and trim as well as a crib that will convert into a toddler bed.  I also saved a TON of money by fixing up old furniture (her dresser and rocker) while creating other custom pieces from scratch (her bedding, side table and changing tray).  There are still several projects that I want to do before I really consider her nursery “done”.  The wall her dresser sits on has plenty of room for a bookshelf which she desperately needs since her books are all stacked up in her closet and on her floor.  I’m also embarrassed to say two of her walls are still blank and need artwork!!  I have a couple of fun ideas in mind so stay tuned!  I hope you enjoy taking a peek at into Emma Grace’s fun, modern, DIY nursery!

Once Emma Grace started pulling up we had to drop the mattress support down and take out the bumper we updated her crib with a bit of paint!  You can find all of the details here!

  1. Absolutely beautiful! (I can’t wait to finish a dresser like that for my daughter’s room. I’m a new facebook follower. I love this! I would be happy to have you share this and any other idea you would like to link up to “One Creative Weekend” at OneCreativeMommy.com. The party is open every Fri-Wed.

    • Thank you so much Sammy! The dresser makeover is still one of my favorite parts of the room and I think the fun color is what makes the piece. I’m so happy with how it turned out. It was just the perfect shade!
